The Blog Hop

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer over at
Crazy-For-Books! It's a lovely meme where
bloggers get to meet and greet each other "hopping" around through blogs. It runs all weekend so what are you waiting for? Hop On!!!

So the question for this week is:
"Tell us about the book your reading!"

I've actually just barley started Robin McKinley's Rose Daughter, like quite literally, I just now opened the cover.  I don't know what it's about, but am excited to read it, I've been a Robin McKinley fan for a while and so I'm not worried.  What're you reading?

I adore Robin McKinley. Sunshine was the first book I read by her, and if you like vampires and stories with a twist you will love it :)

I just became a new follower and can't wait to check out more of your reviews.

Returning your Hop! :-)

I'm just a few chapters into Dracula right now. Right now, it seems to alternate between spooky and boring.

Josh: ermmm what???

Maidenvveil: *waves* of course! ooo *rubs hands together* lets see here, I really do love McKinley's "Sunshine" it's a vampire tale that is lovely, it's more adult fiction than YA. "The Blue Sword" is also a really good one, its YA and lovely too. I feel like there's so many I don't know, but yes I would read either "Sunshine" or "The Blue Sword" :) Thanks for stopping by!

New follower from the Blog Hop. I see you reviewed Conspiracy of Kings, I'll be back to read that after I read it. That's one series that I avoid any and all information on until I've read the book. Have a good weekend!

Thanks for stopping at my place, and for the follow!

I love your place here! I love McKinley, this isn't one of my favorite books by her, but it is the best retelling of Beauty in the Beast I've read. Enjoy!

Oh, I'm a follower now! ^_-

Hi!

Returning your hop - I've never read anything by Robin McKinley, although I have had 'Beauty' on my wish list for a good while. Seeing all the complimentary posts makes me think I really should get on with it!

Looks like we have a similar taste in books so looking forward to getting some more recommendations.

Also, would definitely recommend getting round to 'A Dirty Job' - it's totally worth it :)

LJK: please-oh-please let me know how you liked them! They are one of those series that simply leave me in a puddle after I read them--they're so amazing Megan Whalen Turner is brilliant I tell you!

Shera: you are so sweet! thanks for the heads up, have you read her other retelling of beauty and the beast "Beauty"? Which book of hers would you recommend to someone if you had to choose one? (I've had a few people ask) :)

Lit Addicted Brit: LOL I'd love to hear what you thought of it! and I'll get on with 'A Dirty Job' thanks for returning the hop!

Manga Maniac: Thanks for hopping through! I just visited your site and am now a follower, I don't read much manga---I actually don't think I've ever read a manga, so am looking forward to what you read!

Hi Kika,

I'm hopping by from the book blogger hop and I've just seen that you've got a Robin McKinley book featured. Have you read The Blue Sword or The Hero and the Crown? I read them back in the 1980s when they first came out and they remain some of my favourite books ever.

Hi Kika! Your blog is gorgeous, I love it! Have added you to my Reader :)

I have yet to read any McKinley - I've had Sunshine sitting around for ages. I really like the cover of this one - what's it about?

KIKA said...

Read it or see it: Just hopped by your blog! Thanks for stopping in mine :) Looking forward to your posts

Amanda: :D Oh yes I've read The blue Sword a while ago and it is still one of my beloved books! It's always one of the books I recommend to Anyone who's new to McKinley :) I just checked out the crown and sword and am waiting to read it! I've heard it's fantastic! Am now following your blog and waiting for a post! LOL ;)

Ashley: Oh your blog is just awesome! It makes me in the mood for an orange smoothie! LOL will be looking forward to your posts as well!!!

Shannon! so good to meet up with you again! Have added you to my reader as well :) I haven't gotten far into the book, but from what I've heard it's a re-telling of Beauty and The Beast. McKinley actually did another re-telling called "Beauty" and I really liked that one, so I don't know how this one's gonna go. But I loved Sunshine! I had a few quarrels with it, but not enough for me to be turned off to it :) I'd love to know how you liked it!!! I'll be stalking you! :)
