Much like the blog hop
Feature and Follow Friday,
Hosted by Alison can Read and Parajunkie
is an opportunity for book bloggers to meet new bloggers and explore new books!

So, lets have at it!
This weeks' question is:
What is your biggest pet peeve(s) when it comes to books?
LOVE TRIANGLES: I know I might be in the minority on this one, but Love triangles
are not my thing. I understand the beginnings of one, but I hate it when
the love triangle becomes the main plot of the story and when
the author forgets to resolve it. . . like for the next 3 books.
bleh.
WHEN THE GUY ENDS UP WITH THE WRONG GIRL
and vice versa
WHEN AN AUTHOR DOESN'T WRITE A SEQUEL
*cough* Robin McKinley, I need the sequel to Sunshine!
. . .OR doesn't know when to stop!
*cough* stephanie plum, anita blake etc.

what are yours?

Happy reading :)

Oddly, I think I am the odd one out on the whole love triangle thing. Nobody seems to like them. LOL. Thanks for stopping by Better Read Than Dead and for following. I returned your follow.
Have a great weekend.

Oh yes i totally understand the love triangle thingy. it can be good but if its the only conflict in the story no not something i will like. the last one i read that i didnt like was Nightshade by Andrea CRemer
new follower happy reading!
Seems like few people actually like love triangles. ;) I don't think I'd mind them if they didn't seem to appear in so many books!
Few ADULTS like love triangles, LOL! As for sequels, I LIKE stand-alone books, but my pet peeve is when the author ends the book on a cliffhanger and then starts a new series, promising vaguely to get around to finishing the original series sometime. (Cough! Isobelle Carmody and Legendsong...Fortunately, after many years, she is finally doing the third Legendsong book)
Oh, and doormat heroines whom all the fallen angels/vampires/whatever are fighting over.
Whoops! That should have been "over whom all the fallen angels, etc. are fighting.
I agree with the love triangles. I do like them, but only sometimes, and very rarely. I have written a few, but mostly, they seem to annoy me. :(
Thanks for stopping by! Following back now.

I agree with you on your pet peeves. I like a strong female protagonist!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I would say nobody seems to like love triangles, so you're in the majority of people who are sick of them. I don't mind them, and often times love them. I think I'M the weird one!
But, yeah when the MC ends up with a character that they really shouldn't have hooked-up with, I get annoyed, too. That happens way too often.
Thanks for visiting my blog earlier!
I love love triangles *snort* Okay, sometimes they get on my nerves because it goes to point two of your post - I hate it when they choose the wrong guy/girl. Understandable, right. I agree with your reasons.
I went through a couple of your blog posts and I'm in love with your blog. New follower here (following you back, thanks for following mine!)
Oh my gosh I love Sunshine. I want a sequel too!
Thanks for stopping by my post!
OMG I so totally agree with the author not knowing when to stop. I loved Anita Blake and Stephanie Plum SO much...but now I barely find time to read the new releases...they just aren't as amazing because it feels like the authors, especially Laurell, are just dragging out books in order to make more money off the series. I would have loved it if the Anita Blake series ended around the Harlequin. I'm also worried about Laurell's other series, Merry Gentry. I actually like that series more than Anita, and it was fabulous...right up until the last book. It wasn't HORRIBLE...but it wasn't up to the same quality as 1-7...oh well...lol
Following you back :) Great blog.
Sequels? I had enough of sequels. I rather have my stories wrapped up in one book. Ah, but that's just me. Thanks for stopping by!
